My name is Apdulkanny Muoth (Cikgu Gani). I am an English language teacher at Australian Centre for Education, ACE, Siem Reap Campus. I have taught English at ACE since 2008. Before ACE, I had taught English at Western International School, Siem Reap branch, for two years and worked at Siem Reap Chamber of Commerce for a year as a Chief of Development & Cooperation. Besides teaching, I have helped Muslim students, offering free English and computer classes since 2007 in Siem Reap town, building tube wells, toilets and giving Islamic books to ustaz ustaz and new and secondhand clothes to poor families in the countryside. Moreover, we represent donors to organize qurban and akikah in Cambodia as well. All books and clothes have been collected from Malaysian friends and little from an Indonesian friend. About clothes, Muslims in Cambodia do not mind accepting used or new clothes from brothers and sisters. For other gifts such as clothes, books.., you can bring them to me in Siem Reap town of Cambodia or send by post, airplane or ship.
Regarding the members, I have many representatives in Kompong Cham , Siem Reap and Battambang province to help me. When there is donation, I sometimes bring it to these communities or sometimes I send it to my representatives to manage it instead of me. We are not paid but we like helping people so we volunteer to help. We are willing to spend our time to help needy people in various communities especially in the countryside and outside the towns. Please help me to make my community a difference.
Cambodian Muslim Youth for Development
I established one Facebook group: Cambodian Muslim Youths for Development in 2012/3 and Facebook page: Cambodian Muslim Youth for Development in 2015. The group and page had been created to spread the information of poor people to the world or donors overseas. Alhamdullillah my goal has met several times and would like to thank to my friends and donors in Malaysia, Singapore and the USA for always helping me as well as my people. As my activities has expanded from Kompong Cham province to Battambang province and Siem Reap province, I decided to create this blogspotspot in order to share my activities with donors, friends and those who will be my partners in the future to learn from me.
